After a long holiday weekend, I found myself slow to get back into the hourly routine of social media and email-checking. But after a few minutes of scrolling and a few dozen beautiful photographs of artwork and design, I remembered why I love working on the Internet so much — the sources of inspiration are endless.

Not long ago, I stumbled upon the work of Spanish artist, Maria Gil Ulldemolins. Maria shares her artwork on a gorgeous Instagram feed and I’ve so enjoyed watching her updates on works-in-progress and catching glimpses of her adorable dog, Max, here and there. Maria’s work is vibrant, colorful, emotional and nothing short of a total visual delight. I love her work that reminds me of agates and layers of minerals, but every piece is a beauty. Read on to learn more about Maria and her artwork. xo, grace

About: Maria Gil Ulldemolins was born in Valls, Spain in 1986.
